The Science into Products and Production Technologies 2008 - 2011 project is a joint project of the Department of Process and Environmental Engineering at the University of Oulu and Ii Micropolis Ltd. The project funding comes from the European Regional Development Fund, the Finnish government, the city of Oulu as well as Micropolis Ii Ltd. Applications for research project funding will be proposed to national and international funding depending on the project and its scope as well as the relevant cooperation network. Some research projects will be self-financed by the companies. Some business projects will be financed by national funding such as Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation) funding or by EU funding, in which case the companies will provide part of the funds themselves. |
